HOTEL AND EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION OPEN NOW FOR WORLD EXPO 2017!
OR RESERVE BY PHONE BY CALLING 1-800 445-8667 (BE SURE TO ASK FOR THE CHICAGO SOUTH LOOP HILTON, 720 S. MICHIGAN AVENUE)
UPDATE NOV. 16, 2016: The original discount room rate for Expo is no longer available due to tremendous demand for our event and the approach of Chicago's summer tourist season. But there are still a limited number of rooms in the Expo block available for $229 a night plus taxes, still a discounted savings of $30 a night. These are rooms with two double beds and double baths, which means they are not a bad deal at all for two people sharing. These won't last long, so RESERVE NOW!
This rate is competitive with similar or lesser hotels in the heart of downtown Chicago, though the Hilton’s location is second to none, and the special Expo rate is quite reasonable compared to the cost of other four-star hotels in the heart of other major American and European cities. We encourage all exhibitors and attendees to stay at the Hilton! While there are lower rates at lesser hotels in downtown Chicago, staying at the Hilton gives attendees the easiest access to all of the happenings at Expo, and each exhibitor and attendee who stays at the hotel helps underwrite the considerable costs of hosting such an ambitious, world-class modeling show. Expo can’t happen without your help, so thanks for your support!
EARLY DIFFICULTIES WITH HOTEL REGISTRATION ARE NOW RESOLVED, BUT IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE HILTON ONLINE OR BY PHONE, PLEASE CONTACT EXPO SHOW CHAIRMAN DAVE PESCHKE (firstname.lastname@example.org or 1-847-727-0899). THANKS!
Given the large number of modelers expected to come to Expo from around the world, we are strongly encouraging everyone to register in advance. The cost is $30 U.S. in advance for entry in one category; $40 U.S. in advance for entry in two categories, or $50 U.S. in advance for entry in three categories or more. These fees underwrite the cost of the awards. Entry in the Junior Level is free, but exhibitors still must register for each entry.
Each modeler will be assigned a space 12 inches wide by 15 inches deep for each category in which he or she registers. You must let us know the categories you are entering now, but you do not have to tell us the specific pieces you're entering yet. A few weeks before the show, we will send a form for each category in which you've paid and registered. At that time, you will list the titles of all of the pieces you will be exhibiting. (We realize many of you will be painting until almost the last minute!) Do let us know as soon as possible, though, if you will need more space than the allotted 12 inches (30 cm) wide by 15 inches (38 cm) deep, or any other special accommodations, such as electricity for a boxed diorama.
A full roster of seminars taking place throughout the weekend by clicking the seminar page in the menu above. Check the Web site often and keep an eye on our Expo Update emails and Facebook posts! (Click here to join us on Facebook if you haven’t already.) Everyone who registers in advance will be added to our group email list for the most timely updates.

QUESTIONS ABOUT REGISTERING IN ADVANCE
Can I register now even if I don’t know exactly how many figures or models I am bringing, or what their titles will be?
Yes, please! In the weeks before the show, every artist who has registered will receive an email with a dedicated form for the category or categories he or she has entered. This form should be filled out in advance with the titles and number of pieces in each display, as well as printed out on your home computer to display with your work at the show. This sheet also will serve as the receipt that lets us know you have already registered.
If I register for one category now, and decide to enter another later, is that a problem?
No. You will be able to register for additional categories any time before the show.
If I just can’t get it together to register in advance, can I register at the door?
Yes, but we really encourage you to register in advance! Registration at the door is time-intensive, and nobody wants to wait in line. The cost for walk-up registration will also be higher, and space on the exhibit tables is dependent upon the space still available in the exhibition hall.
