Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities

With roots in the lead and plastic toy soldiers that many children have collected for decades, the hobby of Miniature Figures has grown to become a much more ambitious and artistic undertaking. Today, sculpting and painting these incredibly realistic miniature figures of historical subjects or fantasy creations has risen to the level of fine art among enthusiasts and collectors throughout North and South America, Europe, and Asia.

Held every three years under the umbrella of the World Model Soldier Federation, the World Model Expo is the largest gathering of miniature artists and enthusiasts from around the globe. Since it first took place in Washington, D.C. in 1993, its popularity has exploded with each event, moving on to Paris (1996), Toronto (1998), Glasgow (2000), Rome (2002), Boston (2005), Girona (2008), Montreux (2011), and Stresa, Italy (2014).

In July 2017, the 10th annual World Model Expo is coming to Chicago, organized by a steering committee comprised of veteran members of the Military Miniature Society of Illinois, which has run one of the most popular local modeling shows in the world for the last four decades. World Expo Chicago 2017 will be held at the historic Hilton Hotel in the city’s South Loop across Michigan Avenue from Grant Park overlooking Lake Michigan, and artists will be present from throughout the U.S., as well as from Canada, Mexico, France, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Greece, Malta, Russia, Korea, and China, among other countries.

World Model Expo 2017 is a gathering of miniature artists and enthusiasts from around the world at the Downtown Hilton in Chicago, July 7-9, 2017. Sponsored by the World Model Soldier Federation, a nonprofit 501c3 corporation registered in the state of Illinois, all contributions are tax-deductible.
